E-ID Card Recording in East Jakarta Reached 99 Percent

East Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-dept keeps accelerating the e-ID card recording. Until Thursday (11/17), the number of residents who have processed e-ID card is reaching 99 percent.

Head of East Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-dept, total number of residents in East Jakarta is 2,946,106 people. Then the number of ID card applicant is reaching 2,103,803 people. From that number, 2,083,172 or 99 percent of them have processed e-ID card. While the rest 20,631 people or 1 percent has yet to process it.

"99 percent of people have processed e-ID card. We'll continue to open service and do approach to them," he stated.

Jakarta e-ID Card Blank Runs Out

To achieve target and conduct acceleration, his sub-dept has reported the attendant list of people who have not processed it to every urban village to conduct matching and research. 

Then the village chief makes a circular letter to RT/RW that containing an appeal to residents. Those who have yet to process e-ID card to immediately come to the urban village office. In addition, they make direct summon towards residents who have not been recorded.

Another effort is by opening service counter in all urban village offices every Saturday, that is at 8.30 AM-1 PM and mobile service work day in seven densely populated urban villages, namely Pulogebang, Penggilingan, Jatinegara, Cakung Barat, Pondok Kelapa, Klender and Pondok Bambu.
